MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — A Missoula police officer shot and killed a man early Wednesday during a pursuit following a domestic violence report.
Missoula County sheriff’s spokeswoman Paige Pavalone says the officer shot the man shortly after 3 a.m. No officers were injured.
Pavalone says the initial call came in shortly after 2 a.m., but officials have not said what happened between the call and the shooting.
Officials did not identify the victim.
Pavalone says an unidentified woman was in the car with the suspect, but she was not injured in the shooting.
A body covered by a sheet lay on the ground next to a car on the on/off ramp connecting West Broadway and North Reserve Street for just over seven hours after the shooting until the Sanders County coroner arrived to investigate.
